Air Quality

Air Pollution Monitors have now been installed along Banner Cross at various points between Endcliffe Park and the Ecclesall Terminus building near the Knowle Lane junction. It is worth noting that other similar areas in adjoining wards have already been involved in monitoring. At Millhouses the proposed extension to Sainsbury's wa halted because of concerns following a campaign by Carterknowle and Millhouses residents. At Broomhill the Forum there is hosting a symposium on 21st April because of serious concerns about air quality there. In Ecclesall there is a shortage of data which we are hoping to rectify. The monitors will be replaced regualrly and are designed to give an indication of the level of particulates in the air by measuring nitrous oxide contents.

Details of the Broomhill symposium below. More at this link.

  1. Hi Neil Lee from Broomhill Action Neighbourhood Group here. I'm interested in your link to Fix My Street. Do you have any experience to show that this works in Sheffield? If you think it does I'll give it a try on our website.
