The Ecclesall Terminus building is now showing some of the results of work done by Ecclesall Forum to restore its character and make it a minor focus for the neighbourhood. The design of the bus shelter was a standard used across the city for many years in parks and various spaces so this last remaining example was worth retaining. A new roof and various other repairs has helped and now the long awaited replacement to the front support timbers has begun using green oak.

This comes at a very opportune time just as the bulbs planted by Forum volunteers last autumn are beginning to show around the site.

The bases of the old uprights were rotten and this week workmen arrived to replace them with the new oak timber.
